Once on board, sit back and relax while you are chauffeured through the awe inspiring rural landscape of the Hunter Valley. We take you to Australia's largest and most magnificent privately owned garden, the Hunter Valley Gardens. Entry is included into the gardens, where you are then free to complete the garden walk at your leisure, see the gardens newest attraction, the dancing water display, or you can visit the many other surrounding attractions:

The Rover Wine Country Express will depart from the Gardens at 4.30pm, to make our way to the Hunter Valley Travellers Rest Motel for your accommodation. Upon your arrival around 5.00pm, make yourself at home in the peaceful indoor courtyard. Why not bring a glass of wine, cup of tea or coffee with you, while you read a book, chat with friends, peruse the daily newspapers?

The next morning we start off with a continental breakfast before departing the motel around 9.30am for our full day winery and sightseeing tour on the Wine Rover. Move effortlessly through one of the worlds great wine regions stopping at specially selected wineries and attractions for you to experience the best of the wine country. Sip, swirl and savour the day and take in the famous Hunter panorama with rolling hills of vines set against the backdrop of the Brokenback Range. A place where peace and tranquillity welcome you to unwind, relax and reconnect with the good life.

On arrival at the Hunter Valley Travellers Rest Motel, make yourself at home in the peaceful indoor courtyard. Why not bring a glass of wine, cup of tea or coffee with you, while you read a book, chat with friends or peruse the complimentary daily newspapers.

Dinner

Enjoy a sumptuous 2 course, healthy, home cooked meal at 6.30pm each night, bread roll, main meal, dessert, tea and coffee, served in The Courtyard Restaurant. You are welcome to BYO any wines or spirits and our friendly staff will be happy to open them for you with no corkage fee charged.

Breakfast

A selection of fruits, juices, cereals, breads, yoghurt, tea and coffee are available from the continental buffet located in restaurant between 8:00am & 9:00am each morning.

Tour

Today's tour begins with a 9.45am coach transfer from the motel, travelling through beautiful wine country whilst making our way to Australia's largest and most magnificent privately owned garden, the Hunter Valley Gardens, arriving around 10.30am.

Garden entry is included in this package, as is a 20 minute fully guided golf buggy tour around the gardens. You are then free to complete the garden walk at your leisure, or visit the surrounding attractions, Hunter Valley Garden Village and the Garden Chapel.

Hunter Valley Garden Village: a variety of boutique specialty shops, galleries and restaurants. Hunter Valley Garden Chapel: features hand carved pews and stained glass windows. Lunch is at your own expense and is available from the gardens and village.

At 1.30pm sit back and relax while you are chauffeured through the awe inspiring rural landscape of the Hunter Valley, enjoying the delicious taste of award winning Hunter wines, returning to the motel around 4.30pm. For those who do not drink wine, there are plenty of galleries, gift shops and sights to see along the way and maybe try a port or two. We welcome you to come along for the ride and take in the lovely ambience of the beautiful Hunter Valley.

Tour 2 - Thursday

Today we depart the motel at 9.00am, travelling past Williamtown Airbase where you just might see an F18 jet fighter flying by and the Stockton sand dunes which by the way are the largest shifting sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, arriving just in time for our 2 hour cruise across the pristine waters of the Port Stephens blue water wonderland, hoping to sight dolphins at play. Lunch is at your own expense and is available from the Nelson Bay RSL Club.

At 1.30pm we make our way to Morpeth with a short tour of Historic Riverboat Port, once the busiest inland port in NSW, followed by free time to wander through the specialty shops and stores. We depart Morpeth heading home via Kurri Kurri for you to view the ever growing number of murals, developed to showcase our rich and diverse history, returning to the motel around 4.30pm.
